21 Days of Renewal
The 21 Days of Renewal initiative came to an upbeat close at the end of April. The initiative aimed to trigger the "Four Turnings" - turning to Christ, turning to Christ's ethic, turning to the Christian congregation, turning to the world in Christian love and mission. St. Timothy gathered three evenings a month over a period of seven months. An average of forty people participated September to November and an average of thirty attended January to April.
The Idea of Renewal
Everyone at St. Timothy will benefit greatly by a positive, spiritually and interpersonally uplifting growth experience focused on renewal of core essentials. The core essentials that are necessary to a life in Christ. Launching the future "Next Generation St. Timothy" requires that we first anchor the present. That anchoring needs to be centered in renewal. Anchoring implies coming back to basics, re-awakening old loyalties to Jesus, getting intentional about shaping future generations for Christian discipleship, re-committing to faithful stewardship, embracing mercy in our relating to one another, and becoming bold in our witness to Jesus Christ.
